Kids around the world: where I get my water

When you need a glass of water, or need to brush your teeth or wash your dishes, where do you get your water? Do you turn on the tap in the kitchen? Or get water out of the fridge? For many kids around the world, access to safe water is still a huge issue. They walk many miles to gather water that is contaminated. This makes them vulnerable to diseases like cholera, dysentery and typhoid.

Ten photos that bring to life our Empowher women's events

Tearfund hosted two Empowher women's events, one at Eastgate Christian Centre and one at The Upper Room. The events were a great opportunity to bring women together, be encouraged and do something powerful in the lives of mothers and babies in Indonesia through our new Mums and Bubs project. Take a look at ten photos that bring to life the events!

Empowher Central:

During the evening there were three powerful short talks from unique female voices, media personality Petra Bagust, sex and relationship therapist Jo Robertson and pastor at the Upper Room Church Pip Smyth. There were giveaways, delicious treats, a dessert platter and a Q & A after every talk for any questions the ladies had.
